One-day Trekking Guide Plans
As you can see on the pictures, there are many beautiful mountains in the area where you can go on a day trip from Kansai area.
The Yusan Trekking Service, the professional mountain guide company, will take you to such mountains. This is paid guide service and reservation is needed.
The Yusan Trekking Service staff are professional mountain guides authorized by Japan Mountain Guides Association, and also writers of many mountain guidebooks. We provide you fun and safe mountain experience.
Guide fee (per person)
One person; 30,000 yen
Two persons; 15000 yen
Three persons; 13000 yen
Four persons; 10000 yen
Transportation is not included.
There are some cases we have to give up to reach the summit due to weather or other factors, and also it is not always possible to see flowers or views you might expect. Even in such cases we cannot refund the guide fee.

Mt. Yoshino, the World Heritage and magnificent cherry trees
Mt. Yoshino, in the central region of Nara, is well known for the magnificent cherry trees, and has Kimpusanji temple, the center of Shugendo. Shugendo is Japanese ancient religion in which people walk mountains as a spiritual practice.

Odaigahara, the World Natural Heritage, one of the highest rainfall area in Japan
Odaigahara highland is in between Nara and Mie, is a part of Yoshino Kumano National Park and also an UNESCO Eco Park. It has virgin forest grown by abundant rainfall. You can enjoy great view from the summit of Mt. Hidegatake and Daijagura rock on a sunny day. You can see Alpine roses in May and white azalea in June. It is cool in summer. If you are lucky, you can see wild deer.

Horyuji temple, the oldest wooden architecture
in Japan and Yata hill terrain
Horyuji temple, built in 607, is the oldest wooden architecture in Japan, and was named to the UNESCO list of World Heritage for the first time in Japan in December 1993. It has over 2 thousands of national treasures.

Mt. Miune with rime ice
Mt. Miune, 1235 meter elevation, in between Nara and Mie, is popular by its beautiful view of rime ice in winter. You can enjoy great view from Hacchodaira area at the mouontain top. You can also enjoy white azalea in May.
